Abstract

This presentation will describe how the National Healing
Forests Initiative is advancing reconciliation, trust and
connecting people to nature in Canada. There are now 31
Healing Forests that have been created through meaningful partnerships with
Indigenous and non indigenous peoples. Each one is unique
and transformational for the communities involved. Healing Forests are powerful
public engagement, mitigation and adaptation initiatives. FPIC is fully respected
in each Healing Forest.
