President Trump has initiated unprecedented change in the ways that the US government considers environmental effects of infrastructure..
President Trump’s return to the White House has brought unprecedented disruption to how federal agencies and project sponsors consider and address environmental effects. The President has issued numerous executive orders that substantively change process and policy as it relates to environmental impact as well as creating administrative barriers to deploying renewable energy projects. The presentation will review the various executive actions by President Trump and associated policy changes by federal agencies with regards to impact assessment of infrastructure projects. The audience will gain an understanding of the scope and scale of the change resulting from the President’s deregulatory agenda as well as updates on how project sponsors are pivoting to keep projects moving in spite of significant political headwinds.
