Abstract

LAMATA is developing several urban mass transit projects in Lagos, Nigeria. With baseline information indicating heavily polluted air in most parts of Lagos, cumulative impacts become crucial. Therefore, LAMATA largely plans green projects, taking into consideration, the baseline air quality of the state.. This paper presents an overview of the considerations for LAMATA in determining fuel options, and efforts at institutionalizing clean transportation across LAMATA's operations in Lagos, Nigeria.
