By utilizing both satellite and ground-based data, this research conducts a comprehensive analysis of precipitation trends and their impact on hydrological processes.
Water scarcity is a critical challenge in arid regions such as Saudi Arabia, where natural precipitation is limited. To address this issue, Saudi Arabia initiated cloud seeding operations in 2022, aimed at enhancing rainfall and improving water resource management in the country. Current operations are in the central and southwestern regions, This study compares meteorological and hydrological data from a baseline period (2018–2021), during which no cloud seeding operations were conducted, with data from the operational phase (2022–2025).
