Abstract

Health Impact Assessment (HIA) is still in the early stages of implementation in Peru and Spain. The primary objective of this research is to examine the factors that have hindered the adoption of HIA in these countries by reviewing regulatory, institutional, and professional perspectives. An online survey was conducted among professionals and graduate students in both Peru and Spain, followed by statistical analysis of the results. The findings revealed several obstacles to the implementation of HIA, including the lack of a clear legal framework and the limited availability of specific training and graduate courses on the topic
