Abstract

This study emphasizes the necessity of introducing the Ex-post Environmental Impact Assessment (E-EIA) system in Korea to verify actual environmental impacts and ensure scientific feedback to policy. By analyzing the limitations of the current post-monitoring system and reviewing domestic case studies, the research proposes a legal, technical, and administrative framework for implementing E-EIA. This institutional transition is expected to enhance the credibility, transparency, and sustainability of the national EIA system.
